Description
This custom bookplate will be designed according to your wishes, then engraved and mounted on a wooden stamp handle. It will be delivered with its ink pad and shipped for free in France via Colissimo (for international shipping, see rates here).

Custom design information
Creating your bespoke ex-libris is very simple.
1. Tell us about your world.
Tell us about yourself, or the person you are gifting this ex-libris to: their personality, passions, profession, background, tastes, favorite authors, musicians, or filmmakers… Anything that might help Morgane get to know you better and envision your ex-libris.
A preliminary exchange will then help clarify your wishes. Based on what you share, Morgane will reply by email with her initial creative concepts. She may also ask you a few questions to refine her ideas.
2. Morgane draws.
Once the direction is chosen, Morgane draws your bespoke ex-libris.
3. You discover the first draft.
It is sent to you by email. You can then provide your feedback and any requests for modifications.
4. The design evolves.
Morgane adjusts the drawing based on your feedback until it matches exactly what you had in mind.
5. You approve.
No engraving is started without your final approval of the design.

To give an ex-libris
Would you like to give a custom bookplate as a gift? Two options are available to you:
You can ask Morgane to create a bookplate tailored to the person you are gifting it to, and then surprise them with it.
Or, if you prefer to let them choose, you can opt for a gift card. The recipient will then be able to work directly with Morgane to design their own custom bookplate.
Inside your package
EVERYTHING YOU NEED
You will receive your custom-engraved stamp, along with an ink pad to start stamping all your books without a second to waste.
VERIFIED QUALITY
Before each shipment, the workshop checks the engraving for accuracy. The stamp is tested on a small card tucked inside the box containing your ex-libris.
CAREFUL PACKAGING
The stamp engraving is hand-wrapped in delicate tissue paper to protect it during transit, then placed in a brown cardboard box that you can keep or give as a gift as is, with no need for further wrapping.

EX-LIBRIS IN A FEW POINTS
N°01 — THE TRADITION
It is a forgotten tradition, born several centuries ago. Morgane Rospars, an independent artist, draws inspiration from it and brings it to life with a modern touch. Her bookplates are handcrafted in France and produced in very limited quantities. They are discreet works of art that will leave your mark on your books for generations to come.

A stamp is by definition imperfect, and that is where its true beauty lies. Solid areas are never perfectly smooth: they vary depending on the inking and the paper. Why make bookplates in the form of stamps? Because they are durable and can accompany you throughout your entire life.

What is an ex-libris?
It is an ancient, forgotten tradition that allows you to mark your books with your name.
IS THIS FOR ME?
Everyone can have a bookplate. Use just one for all your books, or several depending on your mood or the type of work: it can be stamped just as well on a Pléiade edition as on a paperback or a comic book.
CAN I GIVE AN EX-LIBRIS AS A GIFT?
Yes! Choose the model that resembles the person, then enter the name to be inscribed. If you would prefer that they choose for themselves, give them a gift voucher.
CAN THE INK COLOR BE CHANGED?
Morgane chooses the color of the ink pad included with each bookplate based on her inspiration. We can, however, exchange it for another color upon request.
HOW DO I MAINTAIN MY STAMP?
Gently clean the surface with water and a little soap, then let it dry. Avoid soaking the wooden frame.
