What is an ex-libris?
An ex-libris (from the Latin ex libris meis, "from my books") is a personalized engraving in bibliophily that a collector pastes onto the inside front cover (the pastedown) or the flyleaf of their books as a mark of ownership. The ex-libris also exists in the form of manuscripts, rubber stamps, seals, etc. It is a tradition that has existed for millennia; we have simply just forgotten about it a little.

What does "limited edition ex-libris" mean?
This means that an ex-libris is offered for sale, and only 10 copies can be purchased. For example: Jean-Louis is the first to reserve model X, leaving 19 available. Marie buys the same model with her name on it, leaving only 8, and so on until the 10 copies are exhausted.

If a model is sold out, can I hope that it will one day be re-released?
Unfortunately no, when a product is sold out, it is gone for good. The only exception is for people who already own the ex-libris in question, in the event of loss or a change of surname.

My name is a bit long; I don't know if it can be adapted to an ex-libris.
Do not worry about that; focus instead on the design that you like. We will take care of adapting your name to the design and we will send you several proofs if necessary. In 99.9% of customizations, the length of the name is not a problem. In the worst-case scenario, it might be necessary to shorten it to your first initial followed by your last name. But this is a situation that arises very rarely. If, despite this, no solution suits you, it is possible to change models or cancel the order as long as the proof has not been approved.

Is an ink pad included with my ex-libris order?
Yes, every ex-libris, whether limited edition or custom-made, comes with its own ink pad.

Do you create custom ex-libris? If so, at what price?
Yes, everything is explained here. For this, expect to pay 280 euros.

How long does it take you to create a custom ex-libris?
The longest part is not the creation, but the wait before your turn arrives. As an indication, expect a wait of about 8 months, then a few days for creation and approximately 2 weeks for manufacturing and shipping.

It’s a gift; would it be possible not to include the invoice in the package?
No invoice is included in the package (you will receive the invoice by email at the time of purchase).

Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, they are available here. They allow you to gift a limited edition ex-libris that the person can choose from the collection available online, or a custom ex-libris. These vouchers have no expiry date.

How quickly will my order be shipped?
Limited edition ex-libris: 15 days on average (the time to process your order, customize the ex-libris, manufacture it, package it, and ship it).
All other shop products (bookmarks, screen prints, notebooks, etc.): 7 days on average.
Depending on the season, lead times may vary (Christmas, for example, is a very busy period).

What are the shipping costs?
FRANCE: Colissimo delivery is free for any purchase of an ex-libris. For other products, shipping costs are calculated according to weight and delivery options (Colissimo or tracked letter). ABROAD: expect 15 euros for shipping (varies depending on the destination).

Can I get a refund for my purchase?
Of course, this is possible as long as your ex-libris has not been manufactured and its proof has not been approved. After that, it will no longer be possible to process a refund due to the unique and personal engraving of the ex-libris in your name. For other products, a refund is possible if you change your mind.

Can I return my purchase?
For ex-libris, it is not possible to return your order since the model you received was engraved with the requested name. For other products, returns are possible; shipping costs are at your expense.

Do you create other works besides those presented on your site?
Indeed, Morgane can design your logos, large-format illustrations, birth announcements, invitations, etc.

Can I have the HD file of my ex-libris?
Unfortunately no, HD files are not delivered with your order.

I have a lot of books; I would prefer my ex-libris to be printed rather than as a stamp. Is this possible?

During what period do you release new collections?
Good question... actually, there is no precise period; Morgane designs as she goes... but one thing is certain, she always designs new models for Christmas (around September or October) and she usually redraws a new collection around February or March.
